A manufacturer of magnetic copper sleeves explains the inspection process for hardware accessory fabrication.
CNC machining, or computer numerical control machining, involves first writing the design drawings into a program. Then, the computer is connected to a CNC machine tool, and the machine’s operation is controlled via programming, enabling the precise fabrication of workpieces. CNC machining is particularly well-suited for processing small-batch and multi-variety parts. The term "CNC," also known as "computer router," "CNCCH," or "numerically controlled machine tool," originated in Hong Kong and later spread to the Pearl River Delta region on the Chinese mainland. Essentially, it refers to a CNC milling machine. In Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, it’s sometimes called a "CNC machining center"—a type of mechanical processing that represents a new generation of manufacturing technology. The primary task in CNC machining is to create machining programs, effectively transforming what was once manual labor into computer-based programming.
CNC Processing Actually refers to CNC machining First, the design drawings are entered into the program. Then, the computer is connected to the CNC machine tool, and the operation of the CNC machine tool is controlled via programming, thereby completing the machining of precision workpieces. CNC Processing Primarily suitable for machining small batches of workpieces with diverse types. CNC is also known as a computer-controlled milling machine. CNCCH Or, “CNC machine tool” is actually a term used in Hong Kong; later, it spread to the Pearl River Delta region on the Chinese mainland. Essentially, it refers to a CNC milling machine, and in the Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai areas, some people call it by that name. “ CNC Machining center ” One type of machining is a new processing technology whose primary task is to create machining programs—essentially converting manual operations into computer programming. Of course, this requires prior experience in manual machining as well. CNC The machining has very high precision; the precision... 0.002MM,. Therefore, it is often used for the machining of precision components. Next, let’s take a closer look at Wofu Five Mechanical and Electrical Components. CNC Hardware parts processing The self-inspection process.
Method /Steps
1、 CNC Before starting machining, CNC lathe operators must carefully review the process card to clearly understand the parts of the workpiece to be machined, their shapes, all dimensions specified in the drawings, and the content of the subsequent machining operations.
2 Before clamping the workpiece, first measure whether the blank dimensions meet the requirements specified in the drawing. When clamping the workpiece, carefully verify that its positioning is consistent with the programming operation instructions.
3 After rough machining is completed, self-inspection should be carried out promptly to allow for timely adjustments to any data that shows errors. The main focus of the self-inspection is the positional dimensions of the machined parts.
( 1 ) Is the workpiece loose?
( 2 ) Whether the workpiece is correctly centered;
( 3 ) CNC Hardware parts processing Does the dimension from the part’s location to the reference edge (reference point) meet the drawing requirements?
( 4 ) The positional dimensions between the CNC-machined features. After verifying the positional dimensions, measure the dimensions of the rough-machined shapes (except for arcs).
Advantages:
① Significantly reduce the number of fixtures; no complex fixtures are required for machining parts with intricate shapes. If you need to change the shape or dimensions of a part, simply modify the part’s machining program—making it ideal for new product development and model upgrades.
② The machining quality is stable, with high machining accuracy and excellent repeatability, making it well-suited to the machining requirements of aircraft.
③ In situations involving multi-variety, small-batch production, productivity is relatively high, as it reduces the time required for production preparation, machine tool adjustments, and process inspections. Moreover, by using optimal cutting parameters, the cutting time is also reduced.
④ It can machine complex surfaces that are difficult to process using conventional methods, and even reach machining areas that are otherwise impossible to observe.
The drawbacks of CNC machining are the high cost of machine tools and the requirement that maintenance personnel possess a high level of expertise.
4 After rough machining and self-inspection, proceed to finish machining. After finish machining, workers should perform self-inspection of the shape and dimensions of the machined areas: For machined areas on vertical surfaces, measure their basic length and width dimensions; for machined areas on inclined surfaces, measure the reference point dimensions indicated on the drawing.
5 Workers must complete a self-inspection of the workpiece and confirm that it conforms to the drawings and process requirements before removing the workpiece and handing it over to the inspector for specialized inspection.
